Charlie Gerken

My name is Charlie Gerken, partner of Gerken & Associates. I have a Missouri Salesperson and Broker's license and aside from selling commercial and residential real estate, my responsibilities include firm management, creating promotional materials, and managing information systems.

Being a Branson native, I enjoy being a longstanding member of this vibrant community. When I’m not immersed in helping people buy or sell Branson homes, I’m actively involved with local organizations:

• The local board of Realtors®
• RPAC (Realtor Political Action Committee)
• Lecturing at local schools and universities (Drury University, Missouri State University, and public schools)
• Branson Arts Council design volunteer
• Branson-Hollister Rotary Club
• Women’s Crisis Center
• Salvation Army

Most people are surprised when I tell them that it only takes 5 weeks to get a Missouri salesperson license to sell real estate. But because I’m a real estate agent to the core, I’ve made it a point to get a degree that can be applied to my everyday pursuit of being the best real estate agent I can be--a marketing degree from MSU. And I continue to educate myself with best practices and have been recognized for my hard work:

Certifications and Designations

• GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) Designee: Awarded by the Missouri Association of Realtors to National Association of Realtors, members have successfully completed 12, eight-hour courses of advanced lectures and exams.
• e-PRO: Certification through the National Association of Realtors that designates advanced, Internet proficiency.   
• SRS (Seller Representative Specialist): A designation given to real estate agents who have demonstrated exceptional seller representation after receiving special education and training.
• Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors Honor Society: I’ve been actively involved in the local board that recognizes the best real estate agents in the area.14 ADDY Awards for Advertising: As a designer and consultant, I’ve contributed to 14 award-winning advertising and advertising campaigns.
• Named Rookie of the Year by the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors: In my first year as an agent, I was recognized for outstanding work for my clients.
• Named to The Springfield Business Journal top 40 Under 40 List: This list recognizes 40 outstanding businesspeople under the age of 40 in Southwest Missouri for their leadership, accomplishments and community service.
