How are closing costs calculated? Is there a way to estimate the costs?

Charlie Gerken, Realtor - on 10/01/24

Closing costs are an essential aspect of the home-buying process, encompassing a variety of fees and prepaid expenses. Understanding and preparing for these costs ensures a smoother transition to homeownership and helps avoid unexpected financial strain at closing. They typically range from 2% to 5% of the home's purchase price and include a variety of fees for different services required during the closing process. Services may include lender fees, appraisal fees, inspection fees, government recording fees, and homeowners insurance to name a few.

How does a home inspection work?

Charlie Gerken, Realtor - on 07/22/24

A home inspection involves a licensed inspector evaluating the property's condition, focusing on key areas like the structure, roofing, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC. They identify existing or potential issues and provide a detailed report highlighting any defects or maintenance concerns. This report helps buyers negotiate repairs or price adjustments and make informed decisions about proceeding with the purchase. It's important to ensure the home is safe and in good condition before finalizing the sale.

Would owners in this spot be able to park their campers on site instead of finding a place to store them?

Charlie Gerken, Realtor - on 04/18/24

Homeowners are allowed to park RV's as long as they are not visible from the street or from the front yard of any adjacent parcel.
